Hello
Hey there! I'm Christpina Vue and I'm thrilled to have you here! This site is all about my journey as a new mom in my early 30s, my love for pets, and my exciting career path.
Growing up as the second of seven wasn't easy, but it taught me to be independent and develop a wide range of skills. From pets to people, web industry to investigations, I've explored it all!
I never thought I'd become a techy person or an investigator, given that I am obsessed with dogs, but I'm always finding ways to stay busy and keep learning.
My Story
Growing up in a family of 7 and being the second child made me who I am today! I learned to be independent and strong. My journey of becoming a mom was not easy, but it motivated me to share my experience with others. I also have a passion for the web industry and investigations. Life is full of surprises, and I'm excited see where it takes me!
Oh, where do I even begin? My mom had us when she was really young, and her pregnancies were a breeze! Seriously, it seemed like a walk in the park for her, which made me think I'd have the same luck. I kept hearing that a daughter's pregnancy often mirrors her mom's experience, so naturally, I assumed I was in the clear. But oh boy, was I wrong! I waited until I was 30 to have my son, and let me tell you, I regret not doing it sooner every single day. My journey was nothing like my mom's—it was a rollercoaster of complications from start to finish. My pregnancy was a whirlwind of every possible symptoms which led to high blood pressure, and eventually, severe pre-eclampsia. But that wasn’t even the worst part! I ended up with a bacterial infection in my bloodstream, landing both me and my baby in the hospital for a grueling week and a half. Talk about a traumatic birth experience! You can read about the entire experience here. That’s why I’m so passionate and fired up about sharing my journey with other moms, whether you're just starting out or already experienced. Every woman’s story is different, and I want to make sure mine helps others navigate this incredible, yet challenging, journey of motherhood.
I was never one to love school, to say the least. I barely did enough to scrape by, which explains why after high school, I found myself constantly in and out of college. I was so lost—I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to do or who I wanted to become. The only thing I knew for sure was that I had this intense passion, or maybe you could call it an obsession, with animals. So, I figured I’d take try my hand at Veterinary Technician school. Spoiler alert—I dropped out. Then, I thought, maybe business was my thing since I enjoyed talking to people and always felt pretty confident during presentations. But guess what? That didn’t work out either. The truth is, I didn’t love school enough to stick with it.
It wasn't until 2017, when I started working at a 24-hour vet hospital, that's when the passion for sharing my experiences took off. I launched my first blog, all about being a responsible dog owner. I poured my heart into those posts, sharing my experiences as a dog owner and what it was like working in a vet hospital. With each post I wrote and every tweaked, my then-boyfriend (now husband) asked me, "Why don’t you try getting into web design or web development? You’re already using similar systems—you just need to learn how to code."
I had no clue what he meant, but his words sparked a curiosity. And from that moment on, everything changed. I dove headfirst into the web industry, teaching myself how to code, taking courses, earning certificates, and building projects on the side. Looking back, I wish I had kept more of my early work to share with everyone, but I’m so grateful for where that curiosity has led me.
When it comes to investigations, well... I've always been a naturally curious person, maybe even a bit nosy, and I've always had a fascination with investigative work. But it wasn’t until I left my first web design position that I stumbled upon a new passion. I applied for a background investigator role on a whim, never really expecting to land the job—but somehow, I did! Now, here I am, three years into a career in investigations, diving into all kinds of cases. It feels like a lucky twist of fate, but in a way, it makes perfect sense. I've always said that working in the web industry as a web designer or manager is very similar to being an investigator. Every day, you're searching for answers, piecing things together, and solving problems. It’s the same skill set, just applied in a different field.
It’s funny how life works—those two industries, tech and investigations, have become my true passions. Even while working in investigations, I always find myself drawn back to the tech world, whether running a side business or just tinkering around for fun. Let’s not forget that even though these are my professional fields, at heart, I’m still an animal lover through and through.
It breaks my heart that after having my son, I developed an allergic reaction to dogs, but that’s not going to stop me from loving them or from sharing my experiences as both a pet lover and a professional.
